How
do I attach to my bike?
We
recommend silicone adhesive. Silicone adhesive is very strong, yet
flexible, and easy to apply. Complete instructions come with each
piece. Silicone adhesive can be found in most auto and hardware stores.
We like Permatex.

Can
I use other kinds of adhesive?
The
short answer is yes. But, there are some pieces that we would not
want to use anything besides silicone. Some pieces that are open like
the spider webs are going to have some of the adhesive ooze out when
put in place. The beauty of silicone is that cleanup can be done after
the glue sets up by picking it off with a tool that will not scratch
metal (wood or plastic).
Something
to keep in mind, super glues and epoxies tend to get brittle and do
not take vibration as well as silicone.
How
to I clean and polish?
Any
quality metal polish used on metal parts on your bike will keep everything
like new. We like 200 MPH polish or Simichrome. Powder coated pieces
can be cleaned and waxed just like the painted surfaces of your bike.
What
kind of metal do we use?
Depending
on the type of product, pieces are cast from a tin based or zinc aluminum
white metal. Advantages are the great amount of detail we can put
into each piece and the fact that pieces will stand the test of time
since there is no potential of the base metal bleeding through the
plating and causing pitting.
Who
manufactures our products?
We
do. All of our products are designed, developed and manufactured by
American Cycle Accessories. Plating is done locally. We believe that
America must have a strong manufacturing base and we will always do
our best to purchase American made goods and supplies.
Do
we do custom one off pieces?
If we did do it prices would start at $500.00. Why beat around the
bush. Custom work does not come cheap! Right now we are so busy we
would not have time to do any one off custom pieces.
